April - Classic Tradition
Group wedding portraits like this have a timeless charm to them, especially when a classic car is involved. This beauty was just recently accepted and hung at the 2008 National Print Salon in London, ON.
Captured in Polson Park in summer using a natural lighting technique called open shade. The trees above and behind the group provided the dark uncomplicated background and blocked the direct sunlight, yet allowed enough light through to highlight their hair. The open sky in front of them acted like a huge softbox and lit their faces with beautiful soft 3 dimensional light. The result is an image that has great potential for a wall portrait.
